Hi everyone,
I've been asked to write an article about blog etiquette for my company's web site. If you have a minute, I'd like some opinions if you dont' mind!
What in your opinion is "good" blog etiquette?
What is considered "poor" blog etiquette (bletiquette? LOL)
You can email me privately if you like (carolanivey @yahoo .com). No names will be used and the innocent will remain, er, innocent. :P
Thanks!
Carolan

I'm the last person to ask...although, I suppose I could give you tips on bad blogging. lol
I get waaaay too personal and I ramble. lol
Don't blog about work! Don't blog about people you know!
Umm, have a secret blog for that stuff, hehe. Lie about your state and company, etc, so nothing points to you and them. Keep it annonymous.
I've found blogging about something/someone will come back to bite you in the butt. If its out there, it will find you. And it has teeth.
Thanks, Samantha and Qtpies!
You're absolutely right - I have a private blog where I dump a lot of my "stuff." But actually not all of it, because basically I don't trust the Internet to keep my private stuff private. Even if I mark it "eyes only."
It's entirely appropriate to leave comments on blogs...but not so appropriate for your comment to be a blog entry by itself!
If you realize your comment is going to be long...just make it an entry on your page, with a link back to the original poster's page.
I agree, Kristin. My motto is KISS - "keep it short, stupid!" [wink]
